Weed Delivery

Maryland’s Culta Partners with New Age Nanotech

Leading Maryland cannabis company Culta recently announced its partnership with New Age Nanotech, said PR Newswire. It is known for developing and offering clinically-proven cannabis delivery technology. Both companies will work to develop edibles and offer it through a new brand, which will be opening in the first quarter of next year.

New Age Nanotech’s solution, Solutech, seeks to offer fast-acting edibles that would allow consumers to feel the effects of cannabinoids within minutes of consumption. It aims to provide a better and more modern alternative to existing edibles, smoking, and vaping.

Culta president and co-founder Mackie Barch said, “Rapid-onset is the future of cannabis. The future of cannabis isn’t smoking or vaping and people don’t want to wait an hour for edibles to work.” He added, “New Age’s rapid-onset technology will allow us to create products with a safe but fast onset in five to fifteen minutes. No more horror stories of overindulging on edibles.”

Culta, which was founded in 2015, is at the forefront of cannabis cultivation on the East Coast. It distributes different brands of cannabis products across Maryland including Culta, Cookies, Willie’s Reserve, Apothecana, and GPen. Its catalog includes a lot of various products such as flowers, extracts, and concentrates.

The two companies are combining their expertise to offer ways to address the challenges presented by cannabis infusing namely limited shelf-stability, poor absorption, and inconsistent dosing. New Age Nanotech’s Solutech is seen as a solution to these issues.

Solutech is described as “a clear, pharmaceutical-grade, bioactive formulation” by a firm that specializes in oral delivery technologies. According to PR Newswire, “New Age Nanotech’s early research on Solutech showed dramatically increased speed of absorption and elimination (fast onset and offset of effects), peak blood levels and bioavailability, along with a consistent and desirable consumer experience.”

It is currently in a crucial stage in human clinical trials conducted by KGK Science, a research organization focused on medical and clinical studies. The trial was approved by Health Canada and is set to complete soon.

Regarding this partnership, CEO of New Age Nanotech CEO Volker Berl said, “We couldn’t be more thrilled that Culta will develop and launch Solutech-infused premium products to the Maryland market. Our licensing partnership represents two best-in-class companies joining forces to develop clinically-backed and reliably-dosed products with Culta’s craft cannabis.”

The introduction of Solutech in the implementation of cannabis in humans through consumption is expected to be a “fastest-acting, most bioavailable and comprehensively studied delivery system.”

Choosing the Right Product for You

In light of this new development, you may be looking forward to consuming the results of Culta and New Age Nanotech’s collaboration. However, as it is set to be launched in Q1 of 2021, you only have the option to purchase from current dispensaries. With the gamechanger features to be introduced by the two companies, you might want to consider these factors when choosing products to consume. Here are some of the most important elements.

  • Method of Consumption

The first thing you need to consider is the method of consumption you prefer. You want to make sure that you are comfortable with the products you consume and this plays a huge factor. There are a lot of product types that offer different ways to consume them. You can choose among flowers that are smoked, vape pens that are inhaled, topicals that are applied to the skin, and edible which are ingested.

You want to make sure that you choose the right method as this can affect your experience. Aside from the way it is consumed, the effect of your cannabis products can also be affected. Keep in mind that inhaling smoke and vapor offers faster reaction time compared to edibles and topicals. If you are looking for a fast-acting effect, then you want to choose a suitable one.

Culta and New Age Nanotech’s products with the help of Solutech seeks to speed up the effects of edibles, so if you prefer edibles but you are looking for faster responses, then you will have to wait for the release of their products.

  • Dosage

Dosage is another factor that can dictate how potent the products will be. Usually, the more you consume, the more potent it will be. You should see to it that you only consume the amount you can handle, as it is the responsible thing to do. Plus, it can help you enjoy your experience better.

One thing you should know is many people who consume edibles tend to consume more because the cannabinoids take time to take effect. However, this results not in giving the effects sooner but elevating the level of cannabinoids they consume. Plus, the cannabinoids undergo a process in the digestive system that makes them more potent. Combined with increased consumption, this significantly increases their level of potency.

Because of this, you want to make sure that you check the cannabinoid content of any cannabis product you want to consume. This can help you safely and moderately intake products.

Again, this is an issue that Culta and New Age Nanotech want to address. By released edibles that are fast-acting, they aim to minimize instances of overconsumption.

  • Content

Lastly, you want to make sure that you are aware of exactly what the contents of your products are, specifically the cannabinoids. In many states, cannabidiol products are legal, but there is a limit to the THC content these products have. It is important to look at the ratio of CBD and THC to estimate the kind of effects it will have and how potent it.

As mentioned above, keep in mind that ingesting these items can result in a significantly stronger impact because of the process they undergo in the digestive system. This way, you can consume the product according to your needs.

Accessing Cannabis Products

After you assess your needs and decide on what kind of products you want to buy, you need to look for safe and convenient options to purchase your choices. If you live in the DMV or plan to move or visit the area soon, you might be wondering how you can get your hands on cannabis products. This is essential especially in light of the pandemic. Moreover, you can use these tips to help you access Culta and New Age Nanotech’s products when they become available. Here are your best options.

  • Weed Delivery

This option is your best bet if you are looking for a hassle-free way to purchase cannabis. Where allowed, cannabis delivery rules are getting stronger, with consideration to marijuana patients and other consumers. In this way, you do not have to leave the house just to get your supplies. Plus, most dispensaries offer contactless payments and deliveries. This is easy, convenient, and fast.

However, if you need to get your order from the delivery person, then you should exercise caution and wear protective gear to minimize any risks of exposure.

  • Curbside Pickups

Another way to safely get your items is to call your dispensary and order for curbside pickup. This is the method of buying in which you will need to drive down to the store, go to a designated area, and wait for a member of the staff to give you your order. This offers minimal contact, allowing you to minimize your risk of exposure.

  • Walk-ins

If you have no choice or you simply prefer to get a feel of the new normal, you can simply do walk-ins. However, you should remember that stores implement safety and health protocols including social distancing, wearing of protective gear, and periodical sanitation of surfaces. They may also limit the number of customers allowed inside the establishments.

Moreover, they are bound to restrict activities that can increase the risk of exposure such as sniffing products from jars, offering samples on the site, and other similar limitations. While these may seem annoying or irritating, these can help maintain your wellbeing as we go through this pandemic, while still giving you safe access to cannabis.

  • Other Notable Cannabis Services

If you need to consult your cannabis doctor, you can choose telemedicine. You can also go this route for renewing your MMJ card. However, different areas have different rules. In Maryland and DC, telemedicine is allowed for renewals, but DC specifies that this option is not allowed for the initial appointment.

In Maryland and Washington, DC, all these options are available as cannabis is seen as an essential service in these two areas. However, if you are in Virginia, keep in mind that there are no safe access rules in the state, according to the Marijuana Policy Project. To safely access cannabis in this state, you can opt for in-store visits, but you should observe safety protocols to ensure your health while you pick up products.

The Bottom Line

Culta and New Age Nanotech’s new products are expected to be a great addition to the cannabis scene. While waiting for its release in the first quarter of 2021, you can safely access existing cannabis products with these methods.
